Stitching a wedding gift

Start from the finished size and the stitch count on each card. A design of 10,000 stitches or more takes 100 hours or more at 60 to 100 stitches an hour, so begin a few months before you want to give it, and leave time for framing.

Cut your fabric a few inches deeper than the chart asks if you want to add the couple's names or their wedding date below the design. White veils and dresses show up best on cream or pale gray Aida, where the white thread stands out from the fabric.
